The saga of Jin

At Steph's 23rd birthday party, themed "pimps and tarts", I obtained Candice's mobile number. We agreed on Monday morning to meet this week for lunch to start the tete-a-tete. I was very perplexed to receive a text from Candice around lunch that day that my friends told me everything I told her was bullshit. She wouldn't return my calls after that. I am an atheist, but providence is a strange and wonderful thing. As I was driving home from the city, Super Request with Rosie was on the radio. Being Love and Hate Tuesday, Rosie announced a special for those who have lost love. I called in, and spoke to Poppy at 6:30pm. She took my details and made no promises. I got a call back from Poppy and Rosie put me on air at 8:30. Rosie was very sympathetic and let me tell my plight, and suggested Candice listen to me, not my soon to be ex-friends. I promised to call back next Tuesday, and played my song, Cherry Blossom Girl by Air.

Fast forward to Thursday: Steph promised to look into my tragedy, and I wait and hope.

This afternoon, I met Alanta, a history honours undergraduate, at the Honi Soit office. We talked about her Women's Honi article about Germaine Greer. I really liked her warm intellect. We parted ways at City Road, and I ran after her when my ride home would be late. I couldn't find her, and all I could do was go back and ask after her. On the way back, I met Kat, Alessandra's friend. We walked to Redfern, but I couldn't bring myself to ask the crucial questions. We were verbally feeling each other out. A riposte and parry session. I wish we could speak out about how we feel.

It goes to show you never can tell.
This has been a great week! It is the end of April, on the cusp of the darling buds of May.

My optimism is continuing, as the weather turns colder.

Semester is going well. Academic submisions and work are creeping up, and opportunities for happiness and joy are coming around again.

The rant is there are too many cases in our lives of working jobs we hate to buy shit we don't need.
